Mr. Rakers is a principal in the firm and leads roadway-related transportation projects. His design experience includes highway design process, including project reports, drainage, pavement, intersection, interchange, traffic signals, retaining walls, storm sewer, stage construction, bridge approaches, safety measures, traffic control, lighting, erosion control, right-of-way/easements, culverts and detours. Design experience also includes surveying, site development, parking lot, subdivision, levee, detention & retention ponds, utility coordination/relocation, recreational facilities (walking/biking paths; baseball, softball and soccer fields; tennis courts; etc.), railroads and airports.
He has over 32 years of experience in consulting engineering with an emphasis on Illinois Department of Transportation, County and municipal clients. Mr. Rakers has a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois. He is based at the Corporate Office.
