Brett previously spent over 12 years with HMG and has extensive experience in many areas of civil engineering, including structural, transportation, water supply and wastewater, in addition to project management and construction management. Brett graduated from the University of Missouri – Rolla with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois. Founded in 1966 by Dale Henry, Harold Meisenheimer & Bob Gende, HMG provides quality professional engineering, surveying and geomatics services with a focus on transportation and water infrastructure. Bradley G. Hummert, P.E., S.E., now serves as Chairman of the Board, and Brian R. Buchheit, P.E., BCEE, is the Chief Executive Officer for the firm. Brandon M. Ratermann, P.E., PTOE, has been appointed President & Principal - Transportation. Brett I. Benhoff, P.E., has been appointed Senior Vice President, Corporate Secretary & Principal of Project Management. Additional appointments include Douglas J. Ratermann, P.E., P.L.S., as Senior Vice President & Principal - Civil; John A. Wieter, P.E., re-appointed Senior Vice President & Principal - Water; and Christopher S. Bouchard, P.E., Senior Vice President & Principal - Northern Illinois Market. All serve on the Board of Directors and are based at the Corporate Office in Breese, with the exception of Mr. Bouchard, who is based at the Mundelein Office in Suburban Chicago. Mr. Ratermann brings a broad base of experience to the position, including Illinois Department of Transportation highway design; traffic modeling and impact studies; stormwater/drainage design; and Motor Fuel Tax program management. He is also a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer. Brandon graduated from SIUE with a BS and MS in Civil Engineering and Transportation Engineering Specialization.
