Chief Operating Officer, Senior Principal - Water
Mr. Buchheit is corporate Secretary-Treasurer and managing agent for professional engineering for Henry, Meisenheimer & Gende, Inc. He also provides technical guidance and treatment plant design expertise to HMG’s Water Group. Mr. Buchheit also oversees operations of HMG’s wholly owned subsidiaries, and HMG Group, the firm’s affiliated service group.
He has over 26 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering, both as a consultant to municipalities and industries, and as an engineer for large investor-owned water utility. Mr. Buchheit has a BS in General Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MS in Civil Engineering from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, & Missouri, and has obtained specialty certification as a Board Certified Environmental Engineer in water supply and wastewater engineering by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists. He is based at the Corporate Office.
