Dillinger Road Reconstruction
Jackson County Highway Department

Project site was a high accident location with fatalities and was evaluated to determine if reconstruction eligible for funding through the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP). This project qualified and utilized HSIP funds. Work included complete reconstruction of the existing oil & chip pavement with a new aggregate base course and new hot-mix asphalt pavement; major horizontal and vertical re-alignment of the mainline; ditch regrading; guardrail installation; soil borings/geotechnical report; and drainage improvements.

HMG provided topographic and legal surveys; geometric design; right-of-way platting; permitting (ESR); preparation of PDR for IDOT approval; and preparation of plans, specifications and estimates.
