This project involved the construction of a shared-use path along South Market Street, extending from IL Route 3 north to Bulldog Boulevard. The approximately 2,043-foot-long project included an 8-foot-wide Portland Cement Concrete shared-use path, curb ramps, signage, storm sewer and open ditch drainage systems, pavement markings, and seeding/erosion control.

HMG provided the ITEP application, topographic and legal surveys, right-of-way and easement plats and descriptions, geometric design, permitting, utility coordination, preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates, as well as construction observation. The project was financed with Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP) funds and local non-MFT funds. The awarded construction cost was $247,447.77, with a final construction cost of $237,514.51.
