In response to pending commercial development near South 42nd Street and Veteran’s Memorial Drive, the City of Mt. Vernon hired HMG to design a new southbound right-turn lane to accommodate increased traffic, including trucks. HMG updated existing surveys with new field shots and coordinated signal relocation to minimize downtime.

The project scope included traffic control with lane closures, embankment construction, new signal foundations and electrical systems, storm sewer installation, Portland Cement Concrete pavement, pavement markings, and erosion control.
