HMG provided surveying, design, bidding, and construction support for the installation of a new ADA-compliant floating “L” shaped dock at Salem Reservoir. The dock includes a 30’ x 8’ main section and a 20’ x 8’ fishing extension, built with Trex decking and various safety features. It replaces an aging dock, with construction costs totaling $30,820, funded by the City.

The work included furnishing and installing an ADA compliant floating “L” shaped dock with a Trex composite decking surface. The main dock was 30’ x 8’ for docking with a 20’ x 8’ extension for fishing purposes. Topographic survey; site design; scheduling; client coordination; preparation of plans, specifications and estimates; advertising/bidding; and construction guidance/staking were performed by HMG. This new dock will replace the old/deteriorated boat dock alongside the existing boat ramp on Salem Reservoir.
Construction operations consisted of manufacturing and installing the boat dock & extension, including Trex composite surface, rubrail, iron cleats, handrail with edge protection, corner bumpers and a bridge/gangway.
Total Construction cost was $30,820 and City local funds were used to finance the project.
