HMG designed and supported construction of Phase 2 wastewater improvements, including tertiary filtration, sludge pumping, aerobic digestion, and a new dewatering and storage facility with rotary screw presses.

Phase 2 of this multi-phase project includes installation of compressed synthetic media tertiary filters, a new WAS/RAS sludge pump station, conversion of an existing package plant into an aerobic digester, a digested sludge pump station, and a sludge dewatering and storage facility. The facility features two rotary screw presses with a conveyor system that transports dewatered sludge to a covered storage and loading area for landfill disposal.

HMG’s services include filtration and sludge dewatering equipment pilot studies, IEPA loan application assistance, design, bidding, construction guidance, construction observation, and commissioning services.
