This project involved the construction of a concrete sidewalk behind an existing curb along the east side of North Market Street and along the south side of HH Road. The project was approximately 1,570 feet long and included a 6’ wide Portland Cement Concrete sidewalk, curb ramps, commercial entrance reconstruction, excavation, and a trench drain. HMG provided topographic surveys; utility coordination; IDOT coordination (impact on traffic signal handhole); preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates; advertising and bidding; and construction observation. The awarded construction cost was $247,849.70, and the final construction cost was $278,575.53. The project was financed by City of Waterloo General Funds.
