The existing structure was a 12-foot wide, single-lane bridge on an oil-and-chip roadway. The project involved reconstructing the bridge with a precast prestressed concrete deck beam bridge and improving the adjacent roadway. The new structure provides two 12-foot lanes and 2-foot aggregate shoulders. Additional work included ditch regrading and alignment corrections. HMG engineers performed topographical surveys, Phase I and Phase II engineering, structure design, and hydraulic analysis. The project was funded by federal Surface Transportation Program (STP) Bridge funds.
