Reed’s Creek Conservancy District received a $376,541 CDBG grant to complete Phase 1 of the Glenn Seeber Memorial Campground Water & Sewer project in Kinkaid. Work included installing water and sewer infrastructure for 11 of 30 planned campsites, along with road and site development over 14 acres. The project added 1,300 feet of new roadway, upgraded 760 feet of existing road, and included ADA-compliant restrooms.

Reed’s Creek Conservatory District in Kinkaid was awarded a CDBG grant in the amount of $376, 541 to complete the Glenn Seeber Memorial Campground Water & Sewer – Phase 1 project, which included the following activities:

Installation of water mains, sewer mains, 11 water services, 15 sewer services (4 sewer services to be stubbed up and capped), 2 septic tanks, 1 lift station, force main, leach field, and all appurtenances required to complete the project for 11 campsites of a proposed 30-site full-service campground. 

Additionally, road & site work was completed for the eleven sites. The project converted roughly 14 acres into a short- term camping facility that included 30 campsites. The main elements of the project consisted of:

  • 30 camping sites connected by 1,300 feet of newly constructed roadway (12-foot width)
  • Upgrades to 760 feet of existing roadway (18-foot width)
  • ADA-compliant restroom facilities
