Facing ongoing source water quality challenges and an aging treatment facility, the Village of Coulterville determined that purchasing finished water from the City of Sparta was the most reliable and cost-effective solution. Limited staffing at the existing water plant further reinforced the decision to transition to a new supply source.

As part of this change, a corrosion control study was conducted in compliance with Illinois EPA requirements to ensure safe distribution system performance and regulatory compliance.
