The Breese 12th Street Extension was a transformative infrastructure initiative completed through a public-private partnership between the City of Breese, L & HR Trust, and 3 Diamond LLC. The project established a new connection between North Walnut Street and 12th Street, replacing a former dead-end roadway that had only provided access to a restaurant and gas station.
By extending the roadway, the project significantly improved access for the residential neighborhood to the west while also opening a previously landlocked area for commercial and community development. This strategic improvement has already facilitated three new developments, with additional opportunities in progress.
The scope of work included constructing a new three-lane PCC roadway on a revised alignment and completing key infrastructure upgrades such as curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and modern stormwater drainage facilities.
