HMG Announces Merger & Expansion
Henry, Meisenheimer & Gende, Inc. (HMG), dba HMG Engineers, Inc., a 100% employee-owned consulting engineering firm headquartered in Breese, Illinois announces the impending merger with affiliated firm RHMG Engineers, Inc. (RHMG) in Mundelein, Illinois, and the opening of a new office in Bloomington, Illinois.
HMG has held minority ownership in RHMG since RHMG’s founding in 1970. With the retirement of longtime RHMG President William Rickert, P.E., BCEE, CFM in December 2021, RHMG’s office and staff will transition to HMG when the merger becomes effective on May 1, 2022.
“We have worked side by side as affiliated companies for over fifty years, and coming together to create a larger, stronger HMG Engineers is a natural evolution for our group,” said Brad Hummert, P.E., S.E., President/CEO of HMG. “We are eager to continue serving clients from the Mundelein office under the HMG banner.”
In addition, HMG has opened a new office in Bloomington, it’s fifth Illinois office. “We are excited to join the Bloomington/Normal business community and continue to expand our brand in Illinois,” said Hummert.
Founded in 1966 by Dale Henry, Harold Meisenheimer & Bob Gende, HMG provides quality professional engineering and surveying & geomatics services for public infrastructure and natural resource management. In addition to the Breese corporate office, HMG maintains offices throughout Illinois in Bloomington, Metropolis, Mundelein, and Murphysboro. HMG also owns a minority interest in an affiliated firm, Asaturian Eaton & Associates, Inc. in Carbondale, IL.
