Henry, Meisenheimer & Gende, Inc. Becomes 100% Employee-Owned

Henry, Meisenheimer & Gende, Inc. (HMG), dba HMG Engineers, Inc., a multidiscipline engineering firm headquartered in Breese, IL, is now a 100% employee-owned company through the creation of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

An ESOP is an employee benefit plan, which provides company stock to employees as part of their retirement benefits. By becoming 100% employee-owned, all outstanding company stock is now held in trust by the ESOP. HMG will continue to operate under the same business model and management structure.

“We are excited to announce our transition to 100% employee-ownership,” said Brad Hummert, President/CEO of HMG. “Becoming employee-owned allows us to reward our employees for their contributions to our success, while enabling them to play an integral role in our future. Our founders envisioned a multi-generational company that would withstand the test of time. The ESOP will contribute greatly to that end.”

Founded in 1966 by Dale Henry, Harold Meisenheimer & Bob Gende, HMG provides civil, transportation, structural, and environmental engineering and land surveying to federal, state and local governments and private/industrial clients throughout Illinois and neighboring states. In addition to the Breese corporate office, HMG maintains offices in Metropolis, IL, Murphysboro, IL and Troy, IL. HMG also owns minority interest in two affiliates, RHMG Engineers, Inc. in Mundelein, IL, and Asaturian Eaton & Associates, Inc. in Carbondale, IL.
