What You’ll Do
As a Professional Land Surveyor at HMG, you will lead and support a wide range of surveying and geomatics services, including:
- Design Surveys for infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, drainage, water, wastewater, and site development)
- Boundary and Legal Surveys
- Preparation of Plats and Survey Documents
- Right-of-Way (R.O.W.) Plans and Documentation
- Easement Preparation and Coordination
You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and field crews to ensure accuracy, compliance, and project success.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying or a related field with a minimum of 24 credit hours in land surveying coursework
Illinois Professional Land Surveyor (P.L.S.) license, or ability to obtain via reciprocity within 1 year
Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience with ESRI ArcGIS and Civil 3D
Familiarity with UAS/drone technology (pilot certification a plus)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

Compensation
Salary Range: $85,000 – $115,000
Compensation is based on experience, licensure, and individual qualifications.
