Tyler Kruep, P.E.

Tyler Kruep joined HMG Engineers in 2022 and brings over 9 years of expertise as a transportation design engineer. His background includes design engineering for IDOT, the Illinois Tollway, and numerous local agency projects. Tyler’s expertise covers roadway and intersection design, hydraulic analysis, traffic studies, ADA facility design, and site development, with a focus on creating safe, efficient, and modern transportation infrastructure.

He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois and Missouri. Tyler has experience working on many high-profile projects such as the design and construction of the South Harbor Dock at America’s Central Port, which received a Special Achievement Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies.

While contributing to major roadway and bridge upgrades throughout the state, Tyler also provides technical design training and mentorship to HMG staff, ensuring strong design practices and consistency across projects. Active in his profession, he is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers.
