The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer (Water) to join our Mundelein, Illinois office.

This role is ideal for an experienced professional ready to take on more leadership — managing municipal water and wastewater projects, mentoring younger engineers, and growing within a company that values innovation, collaboration, and ownership.

What You’ll Do

Lead the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Prepare reports, design documents, specifications, and cost estimates.

Manage project schedules, budgets, and communication with clients and regulatory agencies.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, efficient solutions.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (ABET-accredited).

5–8 years of experience in water and wastewater design.

Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Illinois, or the ability to obtain via reciprocity.

Experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD.

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

A collaborative spirit and drive to grow in a leadership role.

Competitive Compensation – Salary range: $85,000 – $110,000, based on experience and licensure, plus comprehensive benefits and ESOP participation.
