Henry, Meisenheimer & Gende, Inc. (HMG), doing business as HMG Engineers, Inc., a 100% employee-owned consulting engineering firm headquartered in Breese, Illinois, is pleased to announce two major developments: the upcoming merger with affiliated firm RHMG Engineers, Inc. (RHMG) in Mundelein, Illinois, and the opening of a new office in Bloomington, Illinois.

HMG has held a minority ownership stake in RHMG since its founding in 1970. With the retirement of longtime RHMG President William Rickert, P.E., BCEE, CFM in December 2021, RHMG’s staff and office will officially become part of HMG Engineers when the merger takes effect on May 1, 2022.

“We have worked side by side as affiliated companies for over fifty years, and coming together to create a larger, stronger HMG Engineers is a natural evolution for our group,” said Brad Hummert, P.E., S.E., President and CEO of HMG. “We are eager to continue serving clients from the Mundelein office under the HMG banner.”

In addition to the merger, HMG has expanded its footprint with the opening of a new office in Bloomington, Illinois—its fifth location in the state.

“We are excited to join the Bloomington-Normal business community and continue expanding our brand throughout Illinois,” Hummert added.
